The PLUS Foundation Welcomes Nikki Baker as the Executive Director

The PLUS Foundation welcomes Nikki Baker, who brings over 21 years in the non-profit sector, to the role of Executive Director. Ms. Baker will lead the PLUS Foundation’s efforts and mission in supporting tomorrow’s diverse professional liability insurance workforce. We are all excited to have her as a valued member of the team!

Minneapolis, MN (April 22nd, 2024) – The PLUS Foundation, which enhances the work of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), is adding to its executive team with the appointment of Nikki Baker as Executive Director. In this role, Baker will lead the PLUS Foundation efforts, including key programming for the LAMP and LAMP Alumni programs, Womens Leadership Network events and resources, and other endeavors to advance the mission in supporting tomorrow’s diverse professional liability insurance workforce.

Baker comes with a wealth of experience bringing over 21 years within the nonprofit sector. Throughout her career, she has looked forward to working on critical efforts in creating and refining many of the current program delivery models. In her present role, she creates strategic partnerships with regional chapter systems, LAMP program models, and DEIA segmented work. Baker earned her Bachelor of Science in School and Community Health from Winona State University and Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management from Hamline University. She is trained as a Certified Health Education Specialist and as an Emergency Medical Technician.

The PLUS Foundation supports tomorrow’s diverse professional liability insurance industry through outreach, education, mentoring, and giving back. Since inception more than 3,200 industry professionals have volunteered their time and the Foundation has contributed $3.2 million to support industry efforts. Through its Womens Leadership Network programming, professional development opportunities have been provided to almost 9,000 women and the PLUS Foundation is currently advancing the seventh cohort of its industry-leading diversity Leadership and Mentorship Program (LAMP).
