PLUS MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN SLEEP OUT
PLUS Foundation Board Members, Beth Goldberg, Lynn Halper and Brian Braden, and PLUS members Chelsea Law, Lucy Mendieta and Steve Prymas, were among 121 insurance professionals who spent the night on the streets of New York to show solidarity with the 4.2 million young people who experience homelessness each year. The PLUS Foundation and APIW (Advancement of Professional Insurance Women) and the larger community of insurance and reinsurance teams raised awareness and over $485,000 for Covenant House, a shelter for kids experiencing homelessness and trafficking. The PLUS Foundation-APIW team raised $35,682 – the 4th highest amount raised out of the 21 teams that participated in the September 13th Sleep Out.
