Foundation Director & “Emerging Leader” Jahan Cedenio, RPLU+ –
The PLUS Foundation is pleased to welcome Jahan Cedenio, RPLU+ (Bowring Marsh) to the Foundation Board of Directors.
Jahan was also one of three recipients of the inaugural PLUS Emerging Leader Award. This award recognizes young professionals who excel in their profession and exhibit the attributes to become future leaders in their organization and the professional liability insurance industry.
Jahan Cedenio joined Bowring Marsh (Marsh & McLennan Companies) in 2014. Currently, he is an Assistant Vice-President in the Financial and Professional (FINPRO) Risks Department. In his current role, he focuses on providing innovative wholesale risk solutions primarily to fortune 1000 clients and helping to drive product sales and development. His current focus is on D&O, EPL and Wage & Hour risks but he also has experience in the placement of E&O, Cyber and Fiduciary risks. Jahan is a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) since 2011 and became an RPLU+ in 2015.
Prior to joining Marsh, Jahan worked at Endurance (Sompo International) and Allied World in the claims departments, where he worked closely with several carriers. These claims positions saw him helping to manage claims and help develop settlement strategies on large complex claims for multinational clients.
Since 2015, Jahan has Co-Chaired the Social Impact Committee for all Marsh & McLennan Companies in Bermuda. In this role, he is responsible for the developing strategy for local community engagements, and he has oversight of the annual social impact budget.
Jahan is an alumnus of the PLUS Leadership and Mentoring Program (LAMP), and for the past two years, he has served on the PLUS Diversity & Inclusion committee. He was recently elected to the PLUS Foundation Board of Directors and will start his term from November 2020. He is passionate about helping make our industry a more diverse place to work.
Outside of his day-to-day professional life, Jahan represents the Bermuda National Men’s XV Rugby team at the international level. He is passionate about youth giving back to the community by working as a rugby youth coach at the international level. He is the Deputy Chair of Crime Stoppers Bermuda, and He has previously served as a Human Rights Commissioner on the Bermuda Human Rights Commission. In this role, Jahan adjudicated human rights complaints brought before the commission, and he also lobbied the government and various stakeholders for advancements in human rights legislation. He is also previously served as the Director of Guest and Donor relations for the Bermuda International Film Festival. In this role, he worked closely with donors and other stakeholders to help ensure continued funding the film festival.
