Texas Gives Back: Loaves & Fishes Community First! Village
The Texas Chapter got together for a morning volunteering at Loaves & Fishes Community First! Village in Austin. 13 volunteers helped with landscaping, housekeeping, and cleaning the community’s chicken coop.
The Community First! Village is a development of the Mobile Loaves & Fishes. The mobile kitchen continues to feed the homeless population in and around the city of Austin, while their Community First! Village provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for people coming out of chronic homelessness. People can rent RV trailers or small homes, and the community includes social assistance, employment opportunities, and opportunities to help with the mobile food distribution.
